Overview

The File menu allows you to add, copy, move delete or rename files and folders from within MediaPortal.

Settings

You can also enable the File Menu and add a Pin code within the MediaPortal interface, see GUI Settings.

Once you have enabled the File menu, you can Manage Folders and Files within MediaPortal.

• Enable File Menu - Default: on
• Pincode - Default: <empty>

Protect the file menu with a pin code

Protecting the file menu with a pin code is useful if you don't want other people using MediaPortal to delete or move files from your computer from within MediaPortal itself. You may wish to protect your files during a party with some friends, or prevent your children from deleting files from you computer.
